I've been trying to get in the habit of making a card with scraps as soon as I'm done with a layout. That way I'm using scraps and building up my card supply. Here is an example.
What a great habit to get into. Love the card. I have a file box I save all my scraps into. I should try make a card as I finish a page too instead of rushing around at the last minute to get one quickly made.
