The joys of the Kiddie Pool
We worked hard this weekend doing some intense purging and orgazining since we got Bennet's new room ready. But we took some breaks for a dip or two in the pool. She loved it- who wouldn't.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Megan and I braved the midnight release party of the 7th and final Harry Potter book. I'll be honest, I was pretty darn excited. Not as excited as the uber fan Megan- but close.
We got to Barnes & Noble around 10:40p.m. but couldn't get inside. We were told that they were at capacity due to fire codes. So we stood outside and waited. The line went forever- but we were pretty close to the front. I geeked out in Megan's Potter glasses and Gryffindor scarf. This is what a 31 year old pregnant Hermione would look like. :)

Tick tick tick tock- what time is it?
This woman couldn't direct traffic in a ghost town. She stood up on that podium shouting instructions and driving everyone bonkers. It took all the patience I had not to run up there and take over myself.
After 2 hours on my feet I was beat. But first thing Saturday morning it was just my coffee, couch and Potter. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a book so much. It was just exactly what I'd hoped it would be. I cried a couple of times, laughed more and when I finished just sighed a happy sigh. I'm reading it all over again!

Camping!!!
We had our basement flood the weekend after the 4th of July. And since we had to move the furniture out for the carpet cleaners we decided to have a little camp out- INSIDE. Just a little something to break the monontony.
Happy Birthday Nick!
Another year has come and gone. We celebrated Nick's birthday last night with a nice dinner at home with Grandma and Grandpa Sweeney. Happy Birthday Nick. We hope you have a wonderful year!
Fancy box cake. Nothing like the ones Nick makes, but at least it was 2 layers.
Bennet saw Grandpa eating his corn on the cob and had to show him she could do the same. It was pretty comical, but she got that corn off.

BrrrBabies in Minneapolis
Most of you know this, but when I was pregnant with Bennet I joined an online pregnancy group. We were all due around the same time- Dec. 21-31, 2005. Over the 4th of July this year seven families from my online baby group met in Minneapolis. I had met 2 of them before in person, but 4 were online friends until this week. It was so much fun. I've been chatting/talking to these women for the last 2 years and they've become true friends. Meeting them in person was just too cool! The families came from Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, South Dakota and Ontario, Canada
It was quite an ordeal getting this photo, but we did it. There wasn't even too much photoshop involved. From Left to Right (back row): Allie (Dec 8), Amy and Scott (from Illinois, near Chicago); Carla and Heather from Ontario, Canada (Dec 15); Lindsey, Aiden (Dec 19) and Gary (from Michigan); Bennet (who super crabby) (Dec 21), Nick and I; Brenda, Terry and Tyler (Dec 3) and their other kids Hailey, Mason and Brandi in front (from South Dakota); Carrie, Jonny and Colin (Dec 21) and Dylan in front of Carrie (from Kentucky), and in the front row on the left, Tommy, Talan (Dec 6) and Andrea, with their other two children Caitlyn and Connor in front of them (from Illinois, near St. Louis), and then of course Angela and Greg (who go with Carla & Heather) in the front right.

And here are the brr mamas and babies. L to R... Lindsey, Carla, Me (Bennet still crying), Andrea, Brenda, Carrie, Amy.
And just to show that Bennet wasn't always screaming :) Here she is with Nick, Greg and Heather at the Mall of America.

4th of July
We spent the 4th of July holiday in Elk River. The weather was wonderful. Had the chance to spend some time on the lake too. On the 4th of July some of my online friends (we were all due around the same time in Dec. 2005) came to spend the day. Carrie & Jonny from Lexington with their 2 kids Colin (Dec 21) and Dylan. Tommy & Andrea from Illinois (near St. Louis) and their 3 kids, Talan (Dec 6), Caitlyn and Connor. Carla & Greg from Ontario and their two kids, Heather (Dec. 15) and Angela. Of course I don't have one photo of the group of us from that day.
