Saturday in the Park

Last Saturday was simply gorgeous. Just the perfect temperature and breeze. Nick played 18 holes of golf in the morning and then we all went to elementary school down the road to play and fly kites.

We all had a blast. Bennet ran around until she couldn't run anymore. There was a carnival at the school and Bennet won a ball playing the 'Pick a Duck' game. Of course she wanted to pick all the ducks, but that's ok.
I love Nick's face in the this photo. This slide had little rollers that totally tickled your bum when you went down.
My goodness I have huge feet.

We need more fluids!

It looks like I caught Bennet's stomach bug. Big time. Started around dinnertime Monday and didn't let up. Couldn't eat or drink anything since noon on Monday. So when I got sick again this morning Dr./Commander/Chief Nick demanded I call the nurse (smart guy). We went to St. Clares and got taken care of. Set up an IV and with 2 liters of fluid and a wonderful dose of Zorfran later I'm a whole new gal. Well- almost.

I have to say- Bennet was a trouper. More interested in the contents of my purse than anything else. Don't eat the Sweet Pea lotion ok? Thanks to Grandma Sweeney for helping watch her today.

Nick thinks he's so funny. "Oh Kari- you'll want to scrapbook this. Better take a picture" A regular Johnny Carson this guy.

Dear Management

Dear Management,

Please be informed that if my requests are not granted, my behaviors may increase to reflect my displeasure. First of all, I realize that I got sick in my bed the other night. While you may find it repulsive and gag inducing, I was perfectly fine sleeping in the stench. My smiling face in the a.m. was proof of that. So why do you find it acceptable to uproot my entire sleeping environment? I find it highly upsetting to simply throw all my bedding and snuggle things into the washing machine without so much as a 30 minute warning. I might mention that had I been consulted on this decision, I would have requested you take Stoli Kitty away when I wasn't looking. Instead the inadequate substitution of 'NEW STOLI' simply made my screams louder and tears bigger. If tugging on the washing machine door in protest doesn't get your attention I don't know what will I would really prefer to maintain a positive relationship with you. I assure you that if my needs are met, things will proceed much more smoothly. Sincerely, Bennet

Happy Easter

We spent Easter with the Sweeney side of the family. It was cold here, so we did the Easter Egg Hunt inside. Bennet had so much fun looking for her eggs- and everyone else's.

Grandma and Grandpa Sweeney had a chocolate fountain. Oh my goodness- it was delicious. Chocolate covered strawberries and marshmallows. So divine!

Bennet got an adorable Navy and White outfit as a baby gift from Grandma Trunnell's friend Nancy. Isn't it cute?

All 9 grandkids in the traditional 'pile' picture. Can't see Meghan's face though.

'Oh- what's it here?"
